The Institute of Philippine Culture, School of Social Sciences of Ateneo de Manila University is pleased to welcome interns onsite at its Frank Lynch Hall workplace to the 2024 Mary Racelis Internship Program for Undergraduates (MRIPU) that will run from 8 July 2024 to 30 August 2024.
The eight-week program offers incoming third-year and fourth-year undergraduates the opportunity to acquire valuable research experience toward a career in research, social development, and science communication. We welcome applicants with background/experience in research methods, public health, information technology/management of information technology, business, mass communications/media studies, and the social sciences.
The IPC offers a series of learning/training sessions on the institute’s core competencies, and inclusive spaces for interns’ own kumustahan-kwentuhan during the 8-week internship.
An important aspect of the internship is the privilege to take part in the activities of IPC research teams currently working on communications, public health (local health information systems models; digital health applications), and studies on Philippine informality, gender, and socio-cultural values.
Interns’ major tasks include document preparation and review; primary and secondary data collection, analysis, and writing; online/archival research; webinar planning and support; online/onsite event planning and meeting preparation; and project site logistics and communications.
The IPC welcomes applicants coming from colleges and universities in the National Capital Region and nearby regions who can report to work in Quezon City, Philippines.
