UNITED STATES - As per IBM's annual report, the average cost of a data breach in higher education and training institutions this year is, so far, $3.7 million—a slight decrease from the $3.9 million recorded in 2022. HONGKONG - The Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data has released a pamphlet offering tips to parents regarding their sharing of information about their children online. Parents are warned that while their practice seems harmless, over-sharing can actually have long-term consequences, potentially impacting their children’s education and future job prospects.
