CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: Program Manager (Education Reform)

Period: 01 August 2023 to January 31, 2023 (6 months initial appointment, subject to extension)

Position Title: Program Manager (Education Reform)

Department/Office: Ateneo Policy Center

Reports to: Head of Ateneo Policy Center

Location: SDC Complex, Ateneo de Manila University, Katipunan Ave. Quezon City

 

General Description

The Program Manager oversees the research for education reform by planning, organizing, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring projects agreed upon by the center’s management team.

Desired Qualifications

  1. Advanced university degree in a field of expertise related to education or education policy; a doctoral degree is an advantage
  2. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills in English, and excellent interpersonal communications skills in Filipino
  3. Excellent organizational skills and ability to contribute to team research processes
  4. Alignment with the vision-mission of the university, particularly in relation to education reform
  5. Experience in research on policy (thematic familiarity with Education Policy, a plus)
  6. Experience in research project management

Scope of Work

The Program Manager for Research is expected to:

  1. Oversee project operations in collaboration with implementing partners.
  2. Assist the Deans of the Ateneo School of Government (ASOG) and Gokongwei Brothers School of Education and Learning Design (GBSEALD), as well as the Head of Ateneo Policy Center (APC), in expanding the network and engaging high-level partners, expert advisors, and other stakeholders to disseminate project outputs.
  3. Provide overall technical and operational support to the Deans of GBSEALD and ASOG and the Head of APC in developing and ensuring the utilization of evidence-based research outputs generated by the project(s).
  4. Lead the development and ensure the high quality of research and informational materials produced by the project(s).
  5. Coordinate with the Head of APC to plan and execute project activities, in alignment with implementing partners and other initiatives of APC and GBSEALD.
  6. Supervise the technical and administrative staff of the project/s.
  7. Manage the project's monitoring, evaluation, and learning framework, and prepare periodic reports and other necessary documentation for internal and external reporting. Ensure compliance with the rules, guidelines, policies, and processes of APC-ASOG, ADMU, and the project funders.
  8. Act as the primary representative for the project(s), Ateneo Policy Center Head, ASOG, and GBSEALD in all activities related to the portfolio.
