“Block Through The Flocc” wins Grade 9 Research Fair’s Pope Francis Award

Sustainable Cities and Communities

The Ateneo de Manila Junior High School Science Subject Area congratulates the Grade 9 winners of Deep Dive, the 2023 Science Research (SciRe) Fair Exhibit held from April 19 to 26, 2023. The G9 Ateneans formed groups that were tasked to propose ideas that would reduce man’s wasteful impact on our planet. Each group then wrote a paper that elaborated on its proposal and created a poster that was exhibited on the SciRe Fair website and in the MST lobby. Click this link to view the poster finalists: https://sites.google.com/.../amdg.../g9-exhibit/g9-finalists

The boy who appears in each slide’s upper left hand corner is the project leader. He is also seen standing beside our late principal, Jonny Salvador, in the group photos that were taken on May 4, 2023.

Dark skies over the Ateneo de Manila University campus in Quezon City, Philippines, forebode possible rain. During the “Habagat” or southwest monsoon season from July to September, rains over the western Philippines can be exacerbated by tropical cyclones far to the east of the country that don’t even make landfall.
