CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

2023 AUN-EEC Conference on Ecological Education and Culture

Theme: "Communing and Reconciling with Nature"

16 August 2023 (Wednesday)

via Zoom

Call for Abstracts
Feel free to forward this to anyone you think who might be interested.

We are pleased to announce that the ASEAN University Network on Ecological Education and Culture (AUN-EEC) will be holding its annual conference on 16 August 2023 (Wednesday). It will be an online conference to be held via Zoom.

This year's theme is “Communing and Reconciling with Nature”, which alludes to the call for ecosystem restoration and reconciliation which might have taken the backseat during the peak of the pandemic. It will feature keynote talks, panel discussions, and paper presentations on related topics.

We would like to invite you and your colleagues to submit abstracts for conference paper presentations. The conference welcomes abstract submissions from students, faculty, staff, NGOs, LGUs, local champions, and other professionals, particularly on the following thematic areas for paper presentation sessions:

  • Ecology, pedagogy, and interdisciplinarity
  • Indigenous wisdom and stories from communities
  • Nature-based and technology-based innovations in communing with environment
  • Stories and insights from student orgs mainstreaming environmental advocacies

Please take note of the following pertinent information regarding abstract submission:

  • Abstract submission deadline: 30 June 2023 (Friday)
  • Download the abstract template: https://bit.ly/auneec2023_abstracttemplate
  • Submit abstracts to aun.eec@ateneo.edu
  • Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified by 15 July 2023 (Saturday).

Conference registration fee will be minimal at Php 200 for AUN-EEC members (including AdMU) and Php 500 for AUN-EEC non-members. Information on registration for presenters and non-presenters will be released at a later date.

Should you have questions or concerns, you may contact the secretariat through aun.eec@ateneo.edu

Thank you!
