EVENT SPEAKERS: Launch of U.S.-Philippines Economic Impact Study

The Ateneo School of Government, through its public policy think tank Ateneo Policy Center, will be launching the U.S.-Philippines Economic Impact Study on Tuesday, April 18, 9:00 a.m. at the Taft Ballroom 1 of Conrad Manila in Pasay City.

Developed with the support of the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines, the U.S.-Philippines Economic Impact Study contains sharable information about the U.S.-Philippine economic relationship. It includes data on foreign direct investments, bilateral trade, job creation, tourism, technology transfer, and tax revenues from U.S. multinational enterprises in the Philippines that help finance social and infrastructure projects of the Philippine government.

Ateneo School of Government Dean Dr. Philip Arnold P. Tuaño and Senior Research Fellow Dr. Nadia Doytch will present the findings of the study and assess the impact of U.S. trade and foreign direct investments to the Philippine economy.

Other speakers include Department of Trade and Industry Undersecretary for Industry Development Group Dr. Ceferino Rodolfo, U.S. Embassy Senior Commercial Officer Paul Taylor, Ateneo de Manila University President Fr. Roberto Yap and Vice President for Higher Education Dr. Maria Luz Vilches, Management Association of the Philippines Trade and Investment Committee Chairperson Jesus Carlos Villasenor, and Semiconductors, Electronics Industries in the Philippines Foundation President Dr. Danilo Lachica and Foundation for Economic Freedom President Mr. Calixto Chikiamco. The event will be moderated by ABS-CBN Business News Correspondent Michelle Krystle Ong.=
