Chico Pauig wins silvers for English and Science in PH round of Asian Olympiad

Ateneo de Manila Junior High School student Chico Pauig (Cardoner/8-Azevedo) won two silver awards in the grade 8 category of the Asian Science and Maths Olympiad (ASMO) State Round, which was held online on October 16, 2022. One silver was for Science, while the other one was for English.
ASMO was created to challenge students’ knowledge and competence in Mathematics, Science, and English at their respective grade levels. The design of the competition puts an emphasis on finding non-routine solutions to problems to further stimulate the competitors’ abilities and stretching their knowledge and understanding of the concepts.
ASMO’s participating countries include Bulgaria, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
