Troy Rementina garners silver honors at Astrophysics and Astronomy global tilt

Ateneo de Manila Senior High School student Troy Rementina of STEM/12-Miki garnered silver honors at the International Astrophysics and Astronomy Competition (IAAC) Final Round, which was held online on July 12, 2022.
The IAAC is a science competition that enables students from all countries to prove their skills, unleash their creativity, and solve challenging problems in the fields of astronomy and astrophysics.

The 2022 IAAC Final Round attracted contestants from Afghanistan, Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt, El Salvador, Fiji, France, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Guam, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Paraguay, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Syrian Arab Republic, Taiwan, Tanzania, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and Yemen.
More than 14,500 students from around the world have participated in the IAAC since 2019.
