Julian German grabs gold for PH in Indonesia-based math tilt

Three Ateneo de Manila Grade School boys were among the mathletes who won medals and helped the Philippines to be ranked first overall at the Challenge for Future Mathematicians (CFM) competition. Julian German (4-Sumakwel) grabbed a gold award in the grade 3 division, while Daniel Canaria (5-Manobo) secured a silver medal in the grade 4 division. Meanwhile, recent graduate AJ Capito (6-Pignatelli in School Year 2021-2022) bagged a bronze award in the grade 6 division.
A total of 369 mathletes from the top-ranked Philippines harvested 49 golds, 128 silvers, 179 bronzes, and 13 merit awards at CFM 2022, which was held online on April 13, 2022. The annual, Indonesia-based competition aims to facilitate the exchange of the latest mathematics-related information, initiatives, and applications from across the world among participating countries.
