Duration: The successful candidate will initially be contracted for three months, subject to
renewal.
I. Brief Description
The Ateneo School of Government (ASOG) is the public sector arm of the Ateneo de Manila University. The School’s long-term mission is to teach and work with effective and ethical public servants. It aims to contribute in building prosperous, sustainable, just, and happy communities in the Philippines, empowered by democratic, participatory, transparent, and
accountable governance institutions and processes.
As a graduate school for leadership and public service, ASOG's academic and executive education programs bridge the gap between classroom wisdom and real-world policy decision-making and governance. Through its research and extension programs, and its work with public, private, and community organizations, ASOG continues to develop and foster innovative ideas and approaches in areas such as leadership, poverty eradication, climate change, social accountability, and politics.
II. Scope of Work
The Academic Video Editor is expected to assist the Academic Program Head in the editing and branding of Master in Public Management classes. Under the supervision of the Academic Program Head, the Academic Video Editor expected to perform the following tasks:
1) Download the raw recordings of every class as soon as they are uploaded by the Academic Teaching Associates.
2) Note the request for editing (if any) by the Teaching Associates. This occurs when the faculty-in-charge requests that some parts of the class be taken out of the record; or if the recording was not paused/stopped during breaktime or groupings, etc.
3) Edit the recordings as necessary.
4) Ensure that the ASoG logo, Academic Freedom Policy notice, and the class frame have been incorporated into the video.
5) Render the edited and branded class recording in good quality.
6) Upload the edited and branded class recording to the designated folder of the Academic team within three days since the class recording was uploaded.
7) Should issues/concerns arise, make necessary further revisions/edits.
III. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in any field;

Prior experience in video editing;

Strong video editing skills;

Graphics presentation skills is an advantage;

Must have own equipment especially for video editing (i.e. PC or laptop with smooth video editing software).

Self-management, as evidenced by the ability to deliver outputs on time with minimum supervision;

Excellent English communication skills, oral and written;
-
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a team.
