Thanks to the medal award haul of our seven mathletes, HKIMO-Philippines ranked Ateneo de Manila Senior High School as the #12 Most Outstanding School of the HKIMO Philippines Heat Round 2022.
The HKIMO provides a platform for boys and girls with a strong interest in mathematics, and is open to all students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. It is different from other math Olympiads in that topics are standardized such as Logical Thinking, Arithmetic/Algebra, Number Theory, Geometry and Combinatorics. Its goals are to stimulate and foster young people’s interest in learning mathematics, strengthen their creative thinking, and widen their international perspective. The HKIMO Final Round will be held on August 27, 2022, and is expected to attract more than a thousand participants from countries such as Australia, Bulgaria, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam.
