Ylanan is first ever Filipino SHS Physics and Astronomy global champ in Copernicus Olympiad

Recent Ateneo de Manila Senior High School graduate Harvey Allen Ylanan (12-Sullivan) emerged as the first ever Filipino senior high school global champion and gold awardee for Physics and Astronomy at the 2nd Copernicus Olympiad. He competed in category 3 (for grades 11 & 12) of the Olympiad, which was held online on December 15, 2021.
Harvey Allen also received a gold award in the Olympiad’s elimination round, which was held online on November 15, 2021.

Based in the United States, the Copernicus Olympiad is a globally renowned international competition platform where students from 5th to 12th grade participate in Mathematics, Physics, Natural Sciences, Astronomy and Cyber Security competitions, and even a Film Festival. Its dynamic platform allows participants to enhance and develop their potential by honing their logical deduction abilities, and to connect and make friends with like-minded people from all over the globe.
