Miguel Tagarda wins silver for PH in Thailand Math Olympiad

Ateneo de Manila Grade School mathletes Miguel Tagarda (2-Yakal) and Koko Dela Cruz (4-Lapu Lapu) were among the 578 Filipino mathletes who won awards for the Philippines at the Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad 2022 (TIMO) Final Round, which was held online on April 2, 2022. Miguel won a silver award in the primary 2 division, while Koko bagged a bronze in the primary 4 division.
As per the Math Olympiads Training League Inc. (MOTLI), the Philippine delegation to the TIMO 2022 Final Round was our country’s biggest ever for the competition, with our gold, silver, and bronze awardees already being assured of receiving a YES (Youth Excellence in Science) medal from the Department of Science and Technology - Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) next year.
