Registration for Reimagining Katipunan webinar and workshop now open

The Ateneo Institute of Sustainability will be holding Reimagining Katipunan, a sustainable mobility webinar and workshop, on November 26, 2021 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM. This event will serve as an online space and opportunity for the community to prompt more reflection and conversations about the importance of people-centric mobility in building healthier, more inclusive communities. Specifically we will:

• Discuss the different issues that contribute to the state of mobility in the Philippines;
• Draw insights from success stories and best practices in sustainable mobility;
• Redesign Katipunan Avenue based on new insights through a workshop

Speaking at the webinar will be members of the Move As One Coalition, a group of Filipino organizations and individuals advocating for a safer, more humane, and more inclusive public transportation system in the Philippines:

Ms. Riz Comia

Hya, the 2019 Ateneo de Manila University Valedictorian and former University Student Council President, co-founded the Move As One Coalition with her friends. She currently champions the abolishment of the boundary system and a justice-oriented transition that ensures that jeepney drivers, like her father, are not left behind as we modernize our transportation systems.

Ms. Katreena Chang

Katreena advocates her time to policy research and civic engagement for Move As One Coalition. With her help, the organization is able to make a difference and provide a safer, more inclusive public transportation system throughout the country.
