Interuniversity Consortium, led by ASOG, to host second forum on the effectiveness of government's anti-drug campaign
27 Mar 2019
Consistent with its campaign promise, the Duterte administration has demonstrated a significant degree of political will to curb the proliferation of illegal drugs in the country in the past three years. Criticisms against and justifications for the policy’s effectiveness have divided the Filipino people as well as the institutions that comprise the government. However, efforts of the academe have continued to shed light on the policy, since its launch of the dataset on killings associated with the anti-illegal drug campaign last June 2018.
On APRIL 26, 2019, the Interuniversity Consortium led by Ateneo School of Government, through the Ateneo Policy Center, in partnership with De La Salle Philippines, University of the Philippines – Diliman, and The Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism of the Columbia Journalism School, will now probe into the various policies and regulations of agencies, and their implication to the people, related to the anti-drug campaign.
Stay tuned for updates.
