Welcome to the Department of Finance and Accounting, John Gokongwei School of Management
The Department of Finance and Accounting aims to produce graduates with sufficient theoretical and practical tools, ethical and global in outlook in the area of Accounting and Finance.
Our objective in accounting education is to be able to develop skills in budgeting, product and service costing, control and performance evaluation, and strategic cost management, and who will become value added members of the management team, responsible for creating information vital for enhancing operational excellence.
Our objective in finance education is to be able to develop skills in corporate finance such as debt financing, equity financing, and essentials of investments.
From the Department Chair
For many years, the Finance and Accounting Department has provided quality education to the best students of our country. As a service department, we make sure that our students graduate with a strong foundation in accounting and finance, enough for them to make the toughest decisions as leaders of organizations in the real world.
