“Inclusive Geometry Curriculum for the Deaf and Hard-of-hearing” receives 2024 ASCEND Excellence Award for Graduate Research

The 2024 ASCEND Excellence Award for Graduate Research was conferred on Mr. Vitus Paul L. De Jesus, a Ph.D. candidate in Mathematics Education for his research work entitled “Inclusive Geometry Curriculum for the Deaf and Hard-of-hearing Mainstream Classroom: A Curriculum Adaptation Model”.

“Project SigLakas” receives 2024 ASCEND Excellence Award for Undergraduate Project

This year’s ASCEND Excellence Award for Undergraduate Project was conferred on an outstanding group of third year AB Development Studies students for their project entitled “Project SigLakas: Empowering Barangay Bagong Silangan Parents for Health Resilience and Advocacy”.

“Akay sa Paglakbay” receives 2024 ASCEND Excellence Award for Undergraduate Research

This year’s ASCEND Excellence Award for Undergraduate Research was bestowed upon a mixed group of Ateneo students from several courses, along with two international students from Lady Doak College in India, for their study entitled “Akay sa Paglakbay: A Participatory Action Research in Strengthening the Youth and Kapitbahayan Governance of GK St. Joseph”.

“Kumusta, Bata?” receives 2024 ASCEND Excellence Award for Senior Project

This year’s recipient of the ASCEND Excellence Award for Senior Project was an extraordinary group of 4th year BS Health Sciences students for their project entitled “Kumusta, Bata?” which sought to engage with children in street situations and contextualize their specific mental health understanding and needs.

“Angking Galing” receives 2024 ASCEND Excellence Award for Senior Research

This year’s ASCEND Excellence Award for Senior Research was given to an exceptional group of 4th year BS Health Sciences students for their research work entitled “Angking Galing: Utilizing Ethnographic Methods to Conduct a Narrative Inquiry on the Indigenous Maternal Practices of the Tagbanua in Aborlan, Palawan”.

The Uniservitate Award is a global recognition, organized biennially, to identify and showcase the initiatives that combine academic excellence and the concrete testimony of a socially committed institution. It also acknowledges and promotes Catholic educational institutions that best integrate academic learning with community service.
