AIS Launches 3rd Ateneo Sustainability Report
27 Jul 2020
An online launch was held to share the digital version of the 3rd Ateneo Sustainability Report. This next entry in the Ateneo Sustainability Report Series explores the progress, commitments, and goals of the Ateneo de Manila University and covers the years 2016-2019. Each report highlights University efforts to care for its constituents, build a more environmentally responsible campus, and train service-oriented leaders who continue to shape society beyond the borders of the institution.
The report highlights were presented by Bea de Leon and Janina Castro, the main report writers. The layout and design of the report was done by Iya Regalario. The digital copy of the report can be found here.
Sustainability reporting has become an increasingly valuable tool for businesses and organizations. Documenting economic, social, and environmental impacts allows for a deeper understanding of how operations and stakeholder relationships may be enhanced to reduce risks and to capitalize on opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
Since 2014, the Ateneo de Manila University has been reporting on the University’s impacts on a triennial basis. Each report is submitted to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), an international independent standards organization that helps businesses, institutions (including governments) and organizations to identify and disclose their impacts. Sustainability reporting is part of the University’s commitment to measuring, understanding, and communicating our continuing journey towards sustainability.
