Appointment of Dr. Cherry Bernardo-Lazaro as Program Director of MD-MBA

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Cherry Bernardo-Lazaro as Program Director of the dual-degree MD-MBA program offered by the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Cherry has been with AGSB, first as a student in the MBA in Health program, then as faculty member and course coordinator for the Learning Experiences in the Communities course (LEC, nicknamed “Strama 1” internally). We will be working with Dr. Cherry on the continuing delivery of the MD-MBA program and in evolving the program to meet the mission and vision of both ASMPH and AGSB.

At the same time, we are extending our recognition and gratitude to Dr. Roberto C. Tanchanco for his service as Program Director of MD-MBA since October 2020. With Dr. Obet, AGSB delivered the MBA half of the program through the several challenging transitions we went through in these last several years. Dr. Obet also constantly worked to ensure that the program continued to evolve towards greater integration of the two academic disciplines: medicine and management.
