GenAI Policy in Higher Education
As we begin the Second Semester and while you might still be finalizing your syllabi, I’m sending you the finalized policy on the use of GenAI in teaching, learning, research, and creative work in Higher Education. Please check out the policy via this link: GenAI Policy in Higher Education
We may also note that, in anticipation of Second Semester preparations, the office of the Assistant VP for Undergraduate Education released the memo Reminders on the Preparation and Uploading of Undergraduate Course Syllabi to AISIS for the Second Semester SY 2024-2025 on Tuesday, 7 January 2025. Since the GenAI policy had not yet been released, the memo made reference to the GenAI Task Force Report, stating, "Instructors should include their GAI Use Policy in their syllabus, based on the recommended guidelines of the Ateneo GenAI Task Force."
