Election/Reelection of Trustees
I am pleased to announce that at the annual meeting of Ateneo de Manila University, Inc held last 16 November 2024, the Corporation (re)elected the following Jesuit and lay members of the Board of Trustees:
New Trustee elected for a 3-year term from November 2024 to November 2027:

Fr Jordan “Jordy” J Orbe SJ has been the Executive Director of Emmaus Center for Psycho-Spiritual Formation and Accompaniment since 2020, where he also served as an Associate from 2004 to 2014. After his ordination to the priesthood in 2012, he served as Chaplain at Philippine General Hospital in Manila for two years.
Fr Jordy obtained his Doctorate (2019) and MS (2016) in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University Maryland, USA. While pursuing further studies in psychology there, he trained and gained experience in providing psychotherapy services to students and adults in different counselling centers and clinics in Maryland and San Francisco.
Fr Jordy also holds an MA in Pastoral Ministry (2012) and an MA in Psychology (2008) from Ateneo de Manila University. He earned a BA in Sacred Theology (2012) from Loyola School of Theology and a BA in Communication (1998) from the University of the Philippines in Diliman.
The other Trustees who were re-elected for 3-year terms each are Dr Chito B Salazar, Fr Xavier L Olin SJ, Mr Manolito T Tayag, and Fr Roberto C Yap SJ.
On behalf of Ateneo de Manila, I thank Fr Orbe, Dr Salazar, Fr Olin and Mr Tayag for their generous willingness to provide strategic leadership and guidance to the University.
We also express our deep appreciation and gratitude to Fr Aristotle C Dy SJ, for his invaluable service to the University as Trustee for eleven years, as member and Chair of the Board’s Committee on Basic Education, and as member of the Board’s Executive Committee, helping the University fulfill its mission, particularly in educating and molding young men and women in the Jesuit tradition of excellence and development of the whole person. We pray that God will continue to grant him wisdom and bless his new mission as President of Ateneo de Naga University.
