Subject :
Security Incident Response Team [Data Privacy]
I am pleased to announce the designation of the new members of the University’s Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) for data privacy-related issues and concerns effective immediately as of the date of this memo:
| Name | Title and Office | End of Term |
| Atty Jenny T Paguntalan-Balane | Senior Legal Counsel, University Legal and Compliance Office |

| Ms Cherry June P Lim | IT Operations Management and Information Security Director | 31 May 2027* |
*subject to renewal, as necessary or appropriate
Together with the current representative of the University Data Protection Office (UDPO), Atty Jamael A Jacob, they make up the official roster of the SIRT.
The SIRT is responsible for investigating all suspected security incidents that involve any data processing system of the University and/or personal data under its control or custody. Specifically, it shall:
- Investigate and assess suspected security incidents in coordination with all concerned units and offices of the University.
- Recommend remedial measures to be performed by units or offices of the University in relation to confirmed security incidents.
- Accomplish an Assessment Report, as prescribed by the UDPO.
It should not be confused with other offices or units that are tasked to investigate other types of security incidents within campus premises, or issues affecting other types of data.
Other University personnel may be called on to join the Team either as official substitutes (when necessary) and/or when their expertise or background is appropriate and necessary to adequately address specific incidents. The UDPO shall also assist the Team in the performance of its functions.
On behalf of Ateneo de Manila, I would like to thank the new members of the SIRT for their gracious acceptance of this mission. Let us support the new SIRT members with our cooperation and prayers as we work together to make the University a safer space for people and their personal data.
