Moratorium Period for Undergraduate Student Activities Second Semester, SY 2023-24
The Moratorium Period for Undergraduate Student Activities for Second Semester SY 2023-24 will run from 06 May to 18 May 2024.
The Student Activities Moratorium Period is a policy of the Undergraduate Higher Education for undergraduate students to prioritize academic requirements and prepare for final examinations. Absolutely no student activities will be allowed during this period.
As stated in the General Regulations of the Undergraduate Student Handbook, (Updated 29 September 2023, Vol. 1, pp. 09-10):
LS General Regulation No. 8 - The Ateneo de Manila has always considered co-curricular activities and athletics essential to the balanced formation and development of the student. Activities and athletics are part of the community life of the Loyola Schools. Therefore, each student should participate in one or several activities to the extent that his/her studies will allow.
LS General Regulation No. 9 - Co-curricular activities, however, are meant to supplement studies, not to interfere with them. Hence, the Loyola Schools reserves the right to advise against participation in activities, if the student needs to devote more time to studies.
