Welcome, Assistant Dean, School of Humanities (HE Memo#Y1.14)

The Ateneo Higher Education community heartily welcomes Dr Patricia P Lambino, Assistant Professor of the Department of Theology, to her new post as Assistant Dean of the School of Humanities from 1 August 2023 to 31 May 2024.  

This year is a preparation year for Trish, so that, if all goes well, she is supposed to assume the deanship of the School beginning SY 2024-2025.  She is meant to serve the last two years of the current dean’s three-year term. All this is for the disposition of the President at the end of this school year. Dr Jonathan Chua, who has so kindly served the School for an extended term, has a long overdue (twice-postponed!) sabbatical to enjoy next year!

As Assistant Dean, Trish has the main responsibility of familiarizing herself with and participating in the dean’s office administrative and academic operations and working with the dean on big school events and projects, including the budget process. Team-working with the dean and the dean’s office staff can lead to initiatives that serve the mission further as we forge our way to this Higher Education journey. We shall leave it to Jonathan and Trish to discover that way for the School of Humanities.
