Sunsetting of old Ateneo website (2012.ateneo.edu) (UMCO Memo)

We are glad to report that the current iteration of the University website at ateneo.edu is now our primary gateway on the digital sphere. Since its launch last February 2022, the site receives an average of nearly 360,000 visits a month, with spikes of upwards 610,000 for high-traffic seasons such as ACET. It has become the primary source of information on admissions, community events, and news for the general public and within the Ateneo community.

The old iteration of the University website, which is currently found at https://2012.ateneo.edu, is now at the end of its useful life. With this, 2012.ateneo.edu will be taken offline and archived.

The sunsetting of 2012.ateneo.edu will be done in stages. This is to give time to offices and departments who still need to move content from the old website to the current ateneo.edu.

This is the timeline for sunsetting of 2012.ateneo.edu:

• 31 July 2023: Last day 2012.ateneo.edu will be publicly accessible on the internet
• 1-31 August 2023: 2012.ateneo.edu will be accessible only within the Ateneo de Manila network
• 1 September 2023: old ateneo.edu will be archived and accessible only by request

We ask all offices and entities that have content in the old website to review again their old pages, and copy/save files they would need to transfer or move to the new website. Offices that have already done so during the migration period last year do not have to do anything.
