The main functions of the Crisis Management Committees are to:
- Assess the readiness of their units to reopen for limited face-to-face classes
- Take responsibility for the unit’s application to reopen for face-to-face classes
- Disseminate relevant information to all stakeholders
- Oversee the implementation of health and safety protocols
- Monitor and evaluate the compliance of their school units with Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2021-001
Take appropriate measures to mitigate risks and impacts of COVID-19 should any cases arise within the campus or in the surrounding communities (i.e. when suspected and/or confirmed cases are reported)
In case of emergencies, the LCMC shall respond to Level 1 or localized emergencies while the UCMC shall respond to Levels 2 and 3 or university-wide emergencies.
We can responsibly move towards the conduct of face-to-face classes in our campuses, even on a limited basis, only if we are equipped with reliable information, proper guidelines, and highly-qualified teams to lead us through any crisis that might arise.
On behalf of Ateneo de Manila University, I thank the members of these committees for their generosity in accepting this important assignment.
