MEMO TO:
The University Community
RE:
All Souls’ Day 2021
As we commemorate all known and unknown saints on All Saints’ Day and our faithful departed on All Souls’ Day, we also take this opportunity to spend some breather during the long weekend of 31 October to 2 November 2021. Despite the government announcement reverting 2 November to a special working day, together with 24 and 31 December [1], I declare 2 November 2021 a non-working holiday for the University. This break is meant to provide all community members some respite from work as we move towards the end of the first half of SY 2021-22.
May you take advantage of this long weekend to unplug from work, recharge, and spend time with and for your family. Let us remember to pray in a special way for the souls of those who have left us during the pandemic especially those who were close to us.
