RE: ADJUSTMENTS TO LS STUDENTS’ CAMPUS ACCESS GUIDELINES
In order to streamline students’ campus access procedures for the remainder of the 2nd Semester, the Loyola Schools will be implementing these revised guidelines for campus access for students:
1. The Blue Pass will now be made available to all students who are enrolled in face-to-face classes (FLEX, Hybrid or Online+) for the 2nd Semester 2021-2022, ANY DAY FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY, 8:00 AM TO 5:00 PM.
2. As such, any student activity, whether it be for onsite classes, consultation, office
transactions, individual study or no-contact activities like (swimming, running, walking, biking, etc.) may be done freely by students enrolled in F2F classes for the 2nd semester without having to resort to the LS Student Campus Access Request (CAR) Form.
3. For students not enrolled in classes designated as F2F, the LS Student CAR Form will still be the default tool to be used for access. Students are advised to fill out a CAR form two days in advance of their scheduled visit (go.ateneo.edu/LSStudentCARForm) to provide ample lead time for approval and avoid any inconvenience.
4. Walk-in onsite transactions with offices are still discouraged except for visits to the Rizal Library or the LS Bookstore. All students who have business with offices, particularly the Office of Guidance and Counseling and the Office of Health Services, are enjoined to still make appointments with them by email unless it is an emergency. Please check the offices’ social media channels or websites for their respective Appointment forms or email addresses or message LS.One@ateneo.edu for information.
5. Students with extra-curricular or co-curricular activities onsite will still have to seek approval to use venues in school for their activities through the Office of Student Activities (OSA) for org activities, or the Office of the Associate Dean for Student and Administrative Services (OADSAS) for class projects and other non-org-related activities. Students with no Blue Pass will still need to use the Student CAR to enter.
It is the aim of the Loyola Schools to further open up the campus in light of lower Alert levels for CoVid-19 in the country, but still in compliance with the orders from the Commission of Higher Education (CHED) and the Quezon City local government guidelines. Despite these relaxed measures to provide easier campus access to students, please be advised that we are still enforcing strict health and safety protocols (ie. health screening, proper mask wearing, and physical distancing) and monitoring for unauthorized gatherings and unusual increase of volume of persons onsite. If Alert Levels go up again, the school will revert back immediately to controlled access and limiting the number of students onsite.
These changes will take effect on Thursday, 05 May 2022 until the end of the semester.
