Financial Aid Scholarships

A vital part of Ateneo’s strategic thrust for Education Reform and Transformation is the provision of opportunities for social mobility among high-potential students from lower socio-economic classes.

In line with this thrust, the Senior High School is offering financial aid scholarship grants to academically gifted but financially challenged students from public, parochial and private junior high schools.

  • The financial aid granted may be 100%, 85%, 75%, 50% or 25% of tuition and fees for the year.
  • Smaller fixed-amount tuition-and-fees grants may also be granted on a case-to-case basis.

Financial aid scholarships are never granted automatically.  All applicants who need and aspire to get a financial aid scholarship must apply for it, by following the procedure below.  Please note that application for financial aid has to be done along with the application for admission.  Students cannot apply for financial aid if they have not first applied for admission through the online system.

While intellectual ability, past academic performance, leadership and service are factors in the screening of financial aid applications, financial aid scholarships are not granted on these bases alone.  The financial need of the applicants must be clearly evident based on the financial aid application form and supporting documents.

Application Requirements and Procedures for Financial Aid

1. Applicants for financial aid must download the Financial Aid Application Form.

Scholarship and financial aid applicants must complete the Financial Aid Application form carefully, answering all questions with the aid of their parents or guardian. The filled-up form must be saved as a PDF file not exceeding 10 MB.

Note that the form requires the applicant to attach photographs of the applicant's residence (showing the full view of the whole house, kitchen and bedrooms). Proprietors of micro-businesses (e.g. sari-sari stores, carinderia, print shops, etc.) must also attach a photo of the front or operating area of the business.
