Role Overview
Under the supervision of the Executive Director of the Science and Art of Learning and Teaching (SALT) Institute, the Coordinator for Education Technology oversees the acquisition, utilization, and evaluation of digital technologies for the purpose of teaching and learning in the university.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports OVP-DITS, AVP for Undergraduate Education, AVP for Graduate Education, and VP for Basic Education in designing plans, processes and policies in relation to education technology acquisition, use and evaluation.
- Supports faculty in various schools, through their designated coordinators, in research and ongoing professional development on the strategic utilization of Education Technology for teaching and learning
- Regularly conducts research and presents on emerging technologies that hold potential to enhance teaching and learning in the University
- Assists the Executive Director of the Ateneo SALT Institute in matters related to education technologies
- Reviews and proposes policy related to the use of education technologies
- Supports the implementation of programs related to the understanding and dissemination of education technologies for teaching and learning.
- Performs other duties as may be requested by the Executive Director of the Ateneo SALT Institute
Qualifications and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in a field of expertise related to education
- Expertise in education technologies
- Very good oral and written communication skills
- Very good networking skills
- Alignment with the vision-mission of GBSEALD, particularly about educational leadership
- Experience in/exposure to the application and approval of official documents
- Planning, organization, and project management skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with MS Office applications, Canvas LMS, Google Drive, Zoom, Google Meet, and various online education and communication tools
- Time management and the ability to multitask efficiently
- Ability to work effectively, whether onsite or online (in case of work-from-home set-up).
