Call for Applications: Full-Time Faculty (Ateneo School of Government)

I. Main Duties and Responsibilities
The ASOG full-time faculty is expected to meet professional and institutional commitments to the School and to the University on a regular basis throughout the academic year. These commitments include time spent on course development, teaching, research, media outreach, and capacity development / training. The ASOG Full Time Faculty shall be expected to meaningfully and substantively contribute to the operations of all three core programs of the School.
Additionally, the FT Faculty shall also be expected to represent ASOG or to carry out specific tasks in service of the larger Ateneo de Manila University context.
As such, under the supervision of the ASOG Dean, the ASOG FT Faculty is expected to:
- 
	Handle classes, either as lead faculty or as part of a team, offered in the Masteral and Doctoral degree programs of the School; 
- 
	Assist in new course development and / or syllabi updating within his / her area of expertise; 
- 
	Engage in policy research activities, including the development of project proposals / bids, actual research and data gathering, writing of final output, and media outreach, as required by project engagements within the portfolio of the Ateneo Policy Center; 
- 
	Advance the capacity development engagements and technical assistance projects through participation in training framework development, technical assistance project design, and networking with potential resource persons.

II. Desired Competencies
In making faculty appointments, the School shall use the following five criteria:

	Potential institutional contribution 
III. Education and Experience Qualifications
The School looks for strong academic qualifications in faculty candidates. Candidates should have an established record (Professor or Associate Professor) or strong potential (Assistant Professor) for research, a commitment to teaching in professional degree programs, and engagement with and interest in public sector policy and practice. Experience working in or with the public sector is an advantage. A candidate must have strong analytical skills, as well as possess the ability to write and speak well. He / She is also expected to work effectively with a wide range of clients, and be able to represent the school. His/Her post-graduate school record must demonstrate superior ability, and signal strong leadership potential in his/her field. A doctoral degree is preferred, given the academic degree offerings of the school.
