Congratulations to our IS Students Yuki Abion and Ariel Dela Cruz whose works were nominated and selected as finalists for this year’s ASCEND (Ateneo Socio-Civic Engagement for National Development) Conference and Awarding Ceremony. Yuki Abion is our Program Awardee and received the ASCEND Excellence Award for her outstanding research on Violence Against Women (VAW) Desks, while Ariel Dela Cruz received the SEEDS Grant (Ateneo Sustainable Engagement and Environmental Development Through Service Learning) for her project, Lokalpedia Translated: A Website Platform and Archive of Philippine Ingredients and Gastronomy. Her work can contribute to making the extensive research of Lokalpedia’s founder John Sherwin Felix more searchable!
