The Ateneo Intellectual Property Office (AIPO) was honored to be a guest speaker at the Intellectual Property (IP) Roadshow organized by Miriam College. The event took place on 27 February 2025, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Caritas Hall, Miriam College, with about 50 onsite participants and over 100 online attendees. Ms Malapit’s discussion centered on trademarks and copyrights, where she discussed the strategies and rights in protecting these intellectual properties. Her session aimed to provide attendees with a clearer understanding of how to safeguard their creative and business assets effectively.

Meanwhile, Mr Erfe covered the topic of IP commercialization, where he delved into the fundamentals of IP audit, IP licensing, and the basics of IP valuation. His presentation equipped participants with the knowledge needed to assess, manage, and monetize their intellectual property assets.

It aimed to guide faculty, staff, and students in the appropriate filing of intellectual property works, particularly in the areas of copyright and trademark protection.
