Rizal Library and the Ateneo SALT Institute host workshop on maximizing Canvas Turnitin update for enhanced student feedback
24 Jan 2025
On 17 January 2025, the Rizal Library and Ateneo SALT Institute conducted “EdTech App-dates: Maximizing the New Canvas Turnitin Update for Student Feedback” at the Information Commons on the 4th floor of the library. The hybrid session was facilitated by Ms Joenabie E Arevalo, Deputy University Librarian for Reader Services, and Ms Karen Diane S Natera, GBSEALD faculty.
The workshop session included a demonstration of how to use the new Turnitin LTI 1.3 integration in Canvas. This is in light of the transition from the current Plagiarism Framework (CPF) in Turnitin to the more advanced LTI 1.3 integration that faculty members are encouraged to use beginning this second semester.
In addition to learning about the features of the Turnitin integration, the session also covered how we can rethink assessments for more effective student feedback.
The next App-dates session will be on the Lucid (Whiteboard) integration in Canvas. This will be held in February. Stay tuned for more updates on registration and final schedule.
