2025 QS Asia University Rankings: Ateneo remains PH's top private institution at #142

Ateneo de Manila University ranked as Asia's 142nd top institution in the 2025 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings: Asia, marking it as one of the top universities in the continent.
The QS also ranks Ateneo as the 34th in Southeast Asia, with an overall score of 49. This also puts Ateneo as the top-ranked private higher education institution in the Philippines.
For its rankings, QS evaluates institutions based on Academic Reputation; Employer Reputation; Faculty-Student Ratio; Citations per Paper; International Faculty Ratio; International Students; International Faculty; International Research Network; Papers Per Faculty; Inbound Exchange; Outbound Exchange; and Faculty/Staff with PhD.
Among these ranking criteria, Ateneo had its highest score for Employer Reputation at 93.6, followed by Academic Reputation at 64.2.
For 2025, QS assessed 984 higher education institutions covering 25 countries in Eastern, Southern, South-Eastern, and Central Asia, an increase of over a hundred institutions from 2024. These rankings are determined similarly to the 2025 QS World University Rankings released in June where Ateneo rose to rank in the =512 bracket.
