Dean Philip Arnold P Tuaño virtually congratulates scholars at Workshop on Global Value Chain Restructuring and Industrial Development in Southeast Asia

On 7 September 2024, Dean Philip Arnold P Tuaño extended his virtual congratulations to participants and scholars during the Workshop on Global Value Chain Restructuring and Industrial Development in Southeast Asia held at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.
In his address, Dean Tuaño expressed gratitude for the dedication and commitment of all attendees to advancing the understanding of the complexities surrounding industrial development and value chain restructuring in Southeast Asia. He emphasized that the expertise and research contributions of the scholars present are crucial for fostering a deeper comprehension of the region's industrial restructuring and economic development processes.
Dean Tuaño also extended warm greetings to Dr Yan Zhou, Assistant Dean and Assistant Professor at Tsinghua University’s Institute of International and Area Studies; Dr Upalat Korwatanasakul, Associate Professor at Waseda University; and moderators Dr Li Yuqing and Mr Beichen Qin from Tsinghua University.
The workshop served as an important avenue for guiding Southeast Asia on its path to sustainable industrial development. Dean Tuaño concluded his address by emphasizing that the collective efforts of scholars and policymakers are essential for overcoming the dilemmas that continue to shape the region's industrial development trajectory.
