Tayo-Tayo: Ateneo de Manila representatives attend ACUP gathering

The Association of Catholic Universities of the Philippines organized its first youth gathering last 23-24 July 2024 at Saint Louis University, Baguio City. This event gathered student leaders, formators, academic staff, and moderators of school organizations to empower the youth to take action in matters related to the environment, technology, and social transformation through a series of conversations and workshops.

Representing Ateneo de Manila University were Yves Yancy Detablan, a formator from the Office for Social Concern and Involvement, Zysh Iraj Duncan and Princess Nikita Gonzaga, student leaders from Ateneo Gabay. Together with the other delegates, they discussed and examined the role of the youth in synodality in their own schools and communities. The event also served as a learning space for students to involve themselves in synodal efforts and an opportunity to connect and collaborate with fellow youth from other Catholic schools and universities.
