Following the Senior High School Orientation Seminar (SHOrSem) on 30 July and the Ignatian Spirituality and Ateneo Culture (ISAC) sessions on 1 August, Academic Year 2024-2025 officially began on 2 August for 1,917 ASHS students (971 in Grade 11 and 946 in Grade 12).
“Day One” of the new school year started with the Mass to celebrate the Feast Day of St Peter Faber SJ at 9:20 am on the 3rd floor of the FLC. The mass was presided by Rev Fr Noel Bava SJ, the ASHS’ newly-appointed Chaplain.
After the mass and a brief recess, the Schola Brevis followed in the same venue with ASHS administrators delivering their welcome messages. The month-long celebration of Buwan ng Wika was also launched during the program.
Throughout the morning, the Blue Babble Battalion energized the students with staple cheers like “Blue Eagle Spelling” and “Fabilioh” before and after the mass. The Schola Brevis program concluded with the Battalion leading the community in reciting the school cheers and singing the alma mater song.
Soar high in AY 2024-2025, Senior High! As ASHS Principal Sansan Borja emphasized in her inspirational message, “It all starts with you. ‘One Day’ or ‘Day One’? I hope you make the right choice.”
