New Economics Seminar Series Season from August to December 2024
26 Jul 2024
The Department of Economics, in partnership with the Congressional Policy and Budget Research Department (CPBRD), representatives from different House Committees, and distinguished members of the House of Representatives (HRep), is pleased to announce the new Seminar Series season from August to December 2024.

As part of the recently concluded HRep-Ateneo Evidence-Based Research Project, 13 research studies packaged as Special Working Paper Series under the Ateneo Department of Economics and Ateneo Center for Economic Research and Development (ACERD) were submitted to the Philippine House of Representatives. These research studies covered wide-ranging topics that aim to support the Marcos Jr administration’s 8-point agenda including: protecting the purchasing power of families; reducing vulnerability and mitigating the effects of the pandemic; ensuring sound macroeconomic fundamentals; creating more quality and green jobs; facilitating government right-sizing; and establishing peace and order.
You can access the Special Working Paper Series here.
As a continuation of this project, we will be presenting the outputs in a series of seminars from August to December 2024. These seminars will provide an opportunity to discuss the research findings and their implications for policy formulation.
We look forward to your participation!
