Ateneo signs MOA with Philippine Marine Corps Foundation Inc for scholarship support

On 5 July 2024, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed between the Philippine Marine Corps Foundation Inc (PCMFI) and Ateneo de Manila University. This partnership aims to further enhance the education, knowledge, and values of Philippine Marine Corps personnel in adapting to modern challenges.
This initiative by the Philippine Marine Corps Foundation Inc, in collaboration with the Ateneo School of Government, is a step towards providing support in molding leaders of the Philippine Marine Corps. The MOA aims to provide scholarship support for Philippine Marine Corps officers who take the Masters’ in Public Management program. The fund will provide 50 percent scholarship from the PMCF while 50 percent from the Ateneo de Manila University.
Present at the signing were LTGEN Juancho M Sabban AFP (RET), President of the Philippine Marine Corps Foundation Inc.; FR. Roberto C Yap SJ, President of Ateneo de Manila University; Maria Luz C Vilches PhD, Vice President for Higher Education at Ateneo de Manila University; Philip Arnold P Tuaño PhD, Dean of the Ateneo School of Government; Javier R Jimenez, Program Head of the Academic Program of the Ateneo School of Government; RAdm Rommel Jude G Ong (RET), Professor of Praxis at the Ateneo School of Government; and Dr Kenneth Hartigan-Go, Core Faculty of the Ateneo School of Government.
Currently, there are 14 ongoing Masters of Public Management scholars from the Philippine Marine Corps Foundation Inc at the Ateneo School of Government, with 10 new scholars to be enrolled each year for the next five years under the Karangalan Program of the Philippine Marine Corps Foundation Inc.
