Promoting Inclusivity: ASOG conducted gender sensitivity training for its faculty, teaching associates, and staff

On 12 July 2024, the Ateneo School of Government (ASOG), in partnership with the University Gender Hub, University Gender Hub and Development Office, and the University Decorum and Investigation Office, held a Gender Sensitivity Training for ASOG Faculty, Teaching Associates, and Staff. This mandatory training is part of the Onboarding and GST Module for the Ateneo community.
Dean Philip Arnold P Tuano welcomed the attendees of GST and emphasized the importance of fostering respect and inclusivity. Dr Mira Alexis Ofreneo and Ryan Angelo P Camacho of the University Gender Hub, along with Atty. Alma Renee R Pavia, Director of the University Decorum and Investigation Office, led insightful sessions on gender sensitivity, professional boundaries, and proper decorum.
Jaztine A Calderon, from the Gender and Development Office, discussed various concerns and issues raised by the ASOG community from the GST prework. Dr Maria Elissa Jayme-Lao, Director of the University Gender Hub Office, addressed university gender policies, programs, and structures, and facilitated a question-and-answer forum.
Sharon Grace S Yabut, Program Head of Executive Education, closed the training by underscoring the importance of gender sensitivity in fostering an inclusive and respectful environment. The training, held every two years, is part of ASOG's proactive approach to promoting a gender-inclusive and safe workplace.
