Research grant on women & gender - Tuition & fieldwork subsidy SY 2024-2025

In SY 2022-2023, the Ateneo de Manila Alumnae Women and Gender Studies Professorial Chair was merged with other donations of similar intent to better serve a broader range of stakeholders within the former Loyola Schools. This new grant maintains the original mission of supporting research and initiatives that enhance awareness and understanding of women and gender issues. On 19 April 2024, the new Ateneo Research Grant on Women and Gender was launched during the 6th Graduate Research Festival, with introductory remarks by Ms. Isabel Nazareno, co-chair of the Higher Ed Gender Focal Point Committee and administrator of the Grant.
The Research Grant on Women and Gender supports research with a vision of building gender-inclusive, gender-responsive, and gender-safe communities. The grant prioritizes transformative research on women and gender.
This is a gender-inclusive grant that is open to all HE graduate students enrolled in Higher Education programs of Ateneo de Manila University with approved Thesis/Dissertation/Capstone research topics on women and gender (i.e. Master’s or Doctoral Candidates). This grant may be combined with other scholarships or grants.
One (1) grant recipient will be chosen per academic year. The grant recipient will receive financial support which may be used for the following purposes:
- Payment of up to a maximum of six (6) units of tuition and fees (up to two consecutive semesters of research/writing phase) and/or
- Field research subsidy
The deadline for submission of completed application requirements is 22 June 2024, at 5 PM. The announcement of the grant recipient will be on 20 July 2024.
