In a display of talent and innovation, Angelica Masa, a fourth-year electronics engineering student from the Department of Electronics, Computer, and Communications Engineering (ECCE) at Ateneo de Manila University, and her team emerged as the champions of the P&G Next 2024 Business IT Case Competition.
The competition, held at Marquis Events Place in Taguig City on 20–21 March 2024, is a highlight of the annual P&G Leadership Excellence Camp, showcasing the prowess of young minds in the realm of information technology (IT). Masa's journey to victory began with her selection as a top Ateneo student to participate in the camp, where she underwent examination and interviews. Out of over a thousand participants, she secured her spot as a P&G Leadership Excellence camper and a finalist for P&G Next 2024.
Paired with students from the University of the Philippines Diliman, De La Salle University, and Far Eastern University, Masa and her team were assigned a P&G mentor to tackle the challenges of the case competition. Through intensive training sessions and engaging talks, they honed their skills and strategized to successfully compete against other teams.
Masa's group tackled the case, devising innovative solutions in less than a day. Their efforts culminated in podium finish in the team games and ultimately earning them the title of P&G Next 2024 IT Business Case Competition champions.
