School of Humanities faculty members win Gintong Aklat awards

The School of Humanities is happy for the news that Aswanglaut by Allan N. Derain and Endangered Splendor: Manila's Architectural Heritage 1571-1960 (Volume 1: The Center) by Erik Akpedonu and Fernando N. Zialcita received the Gintong Aklat Awards in their respective categories. Derain and Akepdonu are faculty members of the School of Humanities.
The Ateneo de Manila University Press was also named Best Publisher in three categories:
- Best Publisher in the Arts and Humanities
- Best Academic and Scholarly Publisher
- Best Literary Publisher
Other School of Humanities faculty members whose books were finalists were Charlie Samuya Veric (Children of the Postcolony) and Edgar C. Samar (Si Janus Silang at ang Lihim ng Santinakpan).
