ASOG, NDCP conduct follow-through meeting to enhance partnership

On Tuesday, 6 December 2022, the Ateneo School of Government (ASOG) and the National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) conducted a follow-through meeting to discuss the ways ahead for the two institutions’ partnership and explore activities in which the two might collaborate on at the Office of the President Conference Room, NDCP, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

The ASOG delegation is led by its Dean, Dr. Philip Arnold P. Tuaño, while LtGen Ferdinand M Cartujano (Ret) PAF, President of NDCP, headed the College’s team. The meeting began with an institutional briefing on the college by Prof. Rej C. Torrecampo, Director of the Philippine Center of Excellence in Defense, Development, and Security (PCEDS), followed by a brief introduction of ASOG by Ms. Ma. Cristina M. Alikpala, Head of the Academic Program and Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Executive Education Program, and Ms. Ivyrose S. Baysic, Head of the Ateneo Policy Center (APC).

A recap of discussion points during the NDCP President’s courtesy call to the ASOG Dean last 5 October 2022 immediately followed the brief introductions, which also served as the primary basis for the main discussions and exchanges, including, but not limited to, subject matter expert (SME) exchanges, twinning opportunity, and the defense education system.
