The Ateneo Grade School (AGS) is launching various activities in celebration of National Book Week this November 21-25, 2022.
To highlight the importance of reading in shaping the youth, the theme for this year’s celebration is, “Tara na, Atenista! Nasa Pagbabasa ang Pag-asa!”
The activities that are lined up in the AGS’ Katigbak Educational Media Center (KEMC) will cater to students, faculty, and staff members of the AGS Community.
Students can answer the Daily Library Trivia questions for a chance to win prizes. The activity is ongoing until November 18, 2022.
Students can wear their favorite book character shirt on November 21 to kick-off the week-long festivities.
Teachers and staff can also test their trivia knowledge with the week-long Spin-the-Wheel Trivia activity.
A storytelling session for Kinder students will be held on November 21, 24, and 25, with guest storytellers from the AGS community.
There will also be a Book Fair from November 21 to 25 in partnership with selected publishing houses. A thematic Book Week shirt will also be released on November 21 to celebrate the event.
DepEd has declared November as National Reading Month in the Philippines. The KEMC hopes that our activities will increase AGS students’ love for reading and spotlight the importance of literacy.
