NSTP or the National Service Training is based on RA 9163 or the National Service Training Program (NSTP) Act which was signed into law in 2001. It seeks to “promote civic consciousness, among the youth and develop their physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual, and social well-being.” The NSTP 12 Bigkis program is part of Ateneo de Manila’s Integrated Ateneo Formation Program which aims to provide students with opportunities to respond to society’s needs.
