ASHS contingent is Grand Champion of World Schools Asia Spring Season Debate

Competing against teams from various countries in Asia, the Ateneo de Manila Senior High School Debate Org and Varsity contingent- composed of recent graduates Naomi Ang (12-Miki), Anton Abiera (12-Bobola), David Bejarin (12-Grodecky), and Johann Bernardo (12-Bobola), along with Daniella Barbacena (11-Bellarmino), Aliyah Herlihy (11-Bellarmino), and Hannah Alcasid (11-Realino)- emerged as Grand Champion of the World Schools Debating League (WSDL) Asia Spring Season 2022. Individually, Ang was awarded as the Finals Best Speaker, Bejarin as the 3rd Best Speaker, Barbacena as the 6th Best Speaker, and Herlihy as the 7th Best Speaker.
The ASHS Debate Org and Varsity contingent was also crowned Grand Champion of WSDL Fall 2021, which makes the Spring Season 2022 win a back-to-back championship.
The WSDL Spring 2022 competition was held online on March 9, 16, 23, & 30, April 13, 20, & 27, and May 14, 2022, and organized by Learning Leaders in association with the Harvard College Debating Union.
