Ylanan receives ‘High Distinction’ citation in Science Olympiad heat round

Ateneo de Manila Senior High School students Harvey Allen Ylanan (12-Sullivan) and Nathan Batnag (11-Perez) both won silver awards in the senior secondary division of the Hong Kong International Science Olympiad (HKISO) Philippines heat round, which was held online on November 28, 2021. In addition, Harvey Allen also received a High Distinction citation.
The HKISO is a science competition held annually around the world. It consists of four main categories (Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Integrated Science) and is for students from grades 2 to 12. It closely follows the Hong Kong School Science Syllabus and tests students on what they have learned at their level of content.
The HKISO Final Round will be held online from June 10 – 14, 2022.
