The health break in AGS, AJHS, and ASHS is extended until January 22, 2022
16 Jan 2022
15 January 2022
Dear Members of the Basic Education Community, Peace!
The recent DepEd NCR Memorandum (No. 017 s.2022) dated 14 January 2022 on cancellation of classes left the discretion to private schools to decide autonomously regarding class suspensions. To this end, the school heads came together to assess the data on cases and come up with a unified decision.
While our Basic Education schools already made adjustments in academic load in the week of January 10 to 14, please be informed that the Grade School, Junior High School, and Senior High School thought it prudent to extend the health break from January 17 to 22.
Through this health break we hope that our students, parents, and teachers will not only have more time to rest, recover and recharge, but also be able to calm frayed nerves from all of the stress arising from the steadily increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the NCR and in the country.
Please take note that during the extended health break, there will be no online classes, no posting of new learning materials, no submissions, and no co-curricular activities. Services from offices will continue to be available. Online classes will resume for all schools on January 24, the details of which will be communicated by the respective school heads.
During the health break, each school will continue to monitor the number of affected students and employees through constituency checks. The leadership team of each school will discuss what calendar adjustments may need to be made in the coming weeks to ensure effective teaching-learning. Announcements on these calendar adjustments will be made by the school heads.
We pray for your continued safety, health, and well-being.
Sincerely,
(Sgd) Jaime Jose G Nicdao, PhD, OIC Vice-President for Basic Education
